The seminar is introduced by Melissa Lapsa, one of the team leads for ORNL's Sustainable Campus Initiative.
Herb Debban is the Director of ORNL's Facilities and Operations Directorate and management co-sponsor of ORNL's Sustainable Campus Initiative. He has many years of experience in nuclear and facilities operation, engineering, and project management. At ORNL he is responsible for major support activities and has been a very strong proponent of integrating operations and research elements into the sustainability program. Under his leadership ORNL has won national awards for its efforts to improve sustainability. In this presentation Debban provides an overview of sustainability at ORNL today, how we got here, and the challenges ahead.
